At CO Aussies we strive to purchase good quality, healthy parents to use in our breeding program, and see that all puppies are well socialized.

We currently know of no problems associated with any puppies that have come from me although studies have proven that regular checkups and vaccinations and a proper, healthy, veterinarian recommended diet can make all the difference in the quality of a pet's life. Our puppies are raised in the heart of the San Luis Valley.

How We Got Started

We always wanted to get a dog, and finally we agreed on an aussie...Not too big and not too small. We liked the look, coloring, and the disposition seemed to fit our lifestyle. We looked at a lot of puppies, and one stood out from all the rest. Kira came to greet us and pulled at our shoe strings right away when we arrived to see the litter of puppies. Every time we'd go look at one of her siblings, she'd try to pull us away. It was almost like she picked us, and we knew right away that she was the one.
Growing up she always bonded with the other animals on the ranch, especially the baby sheep and calves. She and a bottle fed lamb, Blossom, would play chase around the yard continually. We began to notice that around the house she would take footballs and stuffed animals with her to her bed and cuddle with them.  And when she would see other puppies she'd try to take them home with her. She just wanted to be a mom so bad that we decided to look into getting her a companion.  Trevor has worked for a vet in the past who is also a dog breeder so he'd had a lot of experience with delivering puppies, researching dogs, and also veterinary care. Since then, Kira has been a fabulous mom and part of the family. Since then we have had 4 new additions...Pepper, Spur, Spade and Jewel.
