Ranch Raised with Champion Show and Working Lines. Great with cattle, horses, sheep and kids
Gus turns two this coming Tuesday... I thought his birthday was in February but I was wrong. Anyway, at present he's in Arizona with his owner undergoing some additional training.
He just finished a course on rattlesnake detection and avoidance. He is starting a course right now to learn underwater cadaver detection. (Drowning victims etc.) She says he doesn't swim well, but loves riding in boats... so they are trying him at that.
In April, there is the annual SARDOC (Search and Rescue Dogs of Colorado) meet, where they have competition and he will probably get certified for rescue missions. She says she believes he will out shine a lot of dogs at that meet.
So far he has learned trail search for missing people, avalanche rescue and now cadaver search. Sounds quite talented to me. I'm proud of him.

Wanted to send an update of Bella and a couple pictures to show you how she is progressing. We have been taking her running with us in the morning and she is really turning into a great jogging dog. It is amazing how smart she is. She picks up on things so quickly. We couldn't ask for a better dog. She will be 8 months old this month, so we still have to wait a few months to start her in agility. Still have to let those puppy bones grow, but she is showing a lot of promise in the way that she moves and is jumping. I guess she is going to take after her father in that regard. She isn't our baby Bella anymore, but she is really turning into an incredible dog.
It can be difficult to find a dog with a great temperment and intellegence and Bella has both. We are completely satisified with the purchase. She really has made a wonderful family dog and since she is now over a year old, we can start doing agility with her. There is a facility right down the street from us that just remodeled and has this huge agility yard. I think that Bella would excel at it and absolutely would love it. I will keep you updated on that and hopefully get some great pictures of her.

This is Shelby - He's living in California and is doing great!
"He's such a great dog, we are so blessed to have him in our family!!"

This is Sadie. She was born in February of 2007 and is out of Kira and Pepper, She's turned out to be a sweetheart and so full of energy. She loves running, playing w/ her sister abi (a maltese yorkie mix) and she can't go a day w/ out playing frisbee. She's just a princess and draws a croud.

"Hot Shot - 1 Year Old" |
HotShot is the addition to our family that I have been searching for for years! He loves to play ball and go for runs. I take him with me to work, and he loves meeting people. Hot Shot is always the center of attention. His gorgeous blue merle coat, his friendliness, his energy, you name it, he is perfect. Thank you, Amanda, for a wonderful family member! "He loves to play with our Rottweiler. We are going to start teaching him agility! Thanks for all the calls and emails, they were so worth it!

Malcolm is doing fine. We take him with us most places and he gets treated like a supermodel. Everyone loves him, he is really a part of our family now. Thanks for such a wonderful dog!
Here are some photos of Malcolm on the trail up to Mt. Yale north of
Cottonwood Pass. He loves the trail and the pack didn't phase him at
all.

I just wanted to touch base and thank you again for a wonderful little dog. A'Nalo had his 1st birthday on monday, and I must say he has been such a wonderful pup! He has his AKC STAR certification, and has tested once for his CGC, but failed because he was overly friendly. He took the test at 9 months, so we are scheduled to take it again at the end of this month. He is just too much fun, and keeps us all on our toes! He spent a lot of the summer swimming in the river near our house, I've never had such a water rat before. He adores swimming. He also enjoyed many trail rides with us, he loves to ride with me and sits well in the saddle in front of me.
A'Nalo is out of Jewel and Pepper

I haven't been in touch in a while and just wanted to drop a quick note to tell you how GREAT Dot is doing! She is the BEST dog. So smart... tell her something ONE time and she's got it. She is a Frisbee FREAK! I think she would kill herself catching frisbees if I let her... she is so powerful in her rear end, she jumps about ten feet in the air and does some CRAZY acrobatics.... just for fun.... we've never trained her (because we didn't have a clue) but I'm sure she could win a competition if there was one around here.... She has a lot of energy (of course) but we play with her every day, she OWNs the house.... sleeps on the bed with us, is obviously SPOILED ROTTEN but very mannerly! SOOOOO sweet and loving... her only hangup is that she is quite shy around people she doesn't know.... never mean but shy. Not sure why but it's just her thing... I am sending a pic I took of her yesterday up at Summitville. She goes to work with me nearly every day, and yesterday I had to go up and change some signs out. She never leaves me and in fact she went fishing with us and stayed right next to my ankle when not running and playing by me. Anyway, THANKS AGAIN..... OBVIOUSLY WE LOVE HER!!!

I just wanted to send you a quick note on Tazz and update you as to how he's doing. At 9 months, he's already accomplished so much! He passed through his puppy classes with flying colors all the way to the advanced class! After graduating from that, he moved on to his CGC and passed on his first try. I currently volunteer with him at our local hospital, where he brightens the days of sick patients. On his off days from that he and I are currently being trained to turn him into a certified rehabilitation dog, as I have to have extensive hip surgery this summer, and who better to help me heal than my baby boy Tazz. He's the best dog I've ever had, and a loving and irreplaceable part of our family. Thank you again! We've already decided to get another dog, and definitely another aussie from you. We're just not sure exactly when yet! :)
